SCCADV has been providing a comprehensive employment program since 1998. Hundreds of people have benefited from this program since its inception.

Often victims of domestic violence stay in abusive relations because of financial dependency. VAP services were established to help victims enhance their work skills to enter or re-enter the job market.

VAP services are free and include:

• Individual career counseling

• Employment skills assessment

• Computer class training

• Resume writing

• Interview techniques

• Access to higher educational services

• Placement in traditional and non-traditional jobs

• Household budgeting and other life skills

• How to ask for a salary increase

• Follow-up services
